Responsible Recovery & Disposal of R-134a
While R-134a is A1 classified and safe to handle under normal conditions, it should never be vented to atmosphere. With a GWP of 1430, uncontrolled release contributes to greenhouse gas emissions and is inconsistent with India’s climate commitments under the Kigali Amendment. We recommend using certified refrigerant recovery equipment to reclaim R-134a from systems before servicing or decommissioning. Recovered refrigerant should be returned to an authorised reclaimer or collected through our cylinder return programme. Responsible handling at end-of-life is as important as purity at point of use.
