No. R-32 cannot be used as a drop-in replacement for R-410A. It operates at different pressures and carries an A2L safety classification versus R-410A's A1. R-32 is only suitable for equipment specifically designed and rated for it.

R-32 (difluoromethane, CH₂F₂) is a single-component HFC refrigerant with a GWP of 675, roughly one-third that of R-410A and well below R-22. It is the refrigerant at the centre of India’s residential and light commercial AC transition, adopted by leading OEMs including Daikin, Voltas, Hitachi, and Panasonic as the standard for new inverter AC models.
India’s commitment to the Kigali Amendment sets a phased reduction in HFC consumption over the coming decades. R-32’s significantly lower GWP positions it as the responsible near-term choice within the HFC category, bridging the gap between legacy high-GWP refrigerants and the next generation of lower-impact alternatives. For OEMs, distributors, and HVAC contractors investing in products and stock today, R-32 is where the Indian AC market has already moved.
R-32 is classified A2L, meaning it is slightly flammable. Filling it on shared lines with non-flammable A1 refrigerants creates two risks: trace contamination that affects purity, and the possibility of flammability characteristics being altered in either product. At our Hisar and Sri City facilities, R-32 is filled on dedicated, segregated lines with A2L-rated equipment and handling protocols. Every cylinder that leaves our plant has been filled, sealed, and tested in an environment built specifically for A2L refrigerants, giving you a product that matches its certificate.
Inverter Split ACs
The primary r32 gas for variable-speed inverter split ACs across residential and light commercial buildings. R-32’s thermodynamic efficiency makes it the preferred choice for OEMs and HVAC contractors specifying new equipment.
Fixed-Speed Split ACs
Used in conventional on/off split AC systems where OEM specifications call for R 32 refrigerant. Not a drop-in replacement for R-410A and only suitable for systems designed and rated for R-32.
