We manufacture zero ODS refrigerants, test every batch to AHRI 700 purity standards, and have made deliberate infrastructure investments at our Sri City facility specifically for the HFO transition ahead. We treat India’s Kigali phase-down timeline not as a compliance deadline, but as a product and investment roadmap.
Yes. Our portfolio includes refrigerants significantly lower in GWP than legacy options like R-22 (GWP 1,810), including R-32 (GWP 675), one of the most widely adopted transition refrigerants for residential and commercial HVAC. We are actively building capacity for HFO-based refrigerants at our Sri City facility, aligned with the long-term direction set by India’s Kigali commitments and the India Cooling Action Plan.
Our response to India’s HFC phase-down operates on three tracks. Today, we supply lower-GWP alternatives to R-22 and other legacy HCFCs. In the near term, we have invested in HFO-ready manufacturing infrastructure at Sri City ahead of the 2028 baseline freeze. In the long term, our portfolio is mapped to cover every stage of the transition from HFCs to HFOs to natural refrigerants, so our customers have a single, reliable supply partner at each step of the regulatory timeline
The India Cooling Action Plan (ICAP) is a national policy framework, not a formal certification standard, so alignment with its goals rather than accreditation is the right measure. DewGas actively supports ICAP’s direction: we supply lower-GWP refrigerants that reduce the environmental intensity of India’s cooling growth, and our product portfolio is mapped to the phase-down trajectory ICAP endorses. We work with HVAC contractors, OEMs, and facility managers to enable informed refrigerant choices consistent with ICAP’s 2037-38 targets.
Our approach runs across three areas. First, product quality: impure or substandard refrigerant leads to more frequent servicing, higher charge losses, and greater overall refrigerant consumption, which is why we test every production batch against AHRI 700 before dispatch. Second, portfolio direction: we are expanding our range of lower-GWP refrigerants in line with India’s Kigali commitments. Third, traceability: every DewGas cylinder carries a QR code linked to its batch record, supporting accountability from our filling facility to the end-application.
